FOR

CyberImmune Opens
Operations in North Carolina
Cary, N.C.– (November 7, 2003) – CyberImmune LLC
recently opened operations in North Carolina.
CyberImmune will host a full featured
immunization registry system ®) that will
allow healthcare providers to use standard web browsers to
track, record, and report immunization encounters.
In
addition to online immunization data management, CyberImmune
will provide medical practitioners with accurate vaccination
dosage and schedule recommendations based on 3000 input
parameters. This
breakthrough technology incorporates proprietary algorithms
that calculate the vaccination dosage and schedule vaccine
recommendations. CyberImmune's product line also features an
automated patient (or parent) appointment notification based
on the immunization schedule, an automated updating of any
state’s Child Immunization Registry, an open interface that
allows CIS to integrate with most Medical Practitioner’s
practice management systems, and vaccine inventory management.
CyberImmune
also has the technology and capability to develop a state or
National Child Immunization Registry.
State
agencies will benefit from the CyberImmune Network because
according to the American Immunization Registry Association
(AIRA) “Fully operational immunization registries
could annually eliminate approximately $250 million in costs
incurred in this country by making accurate, up-to-date
information available to health care professionals and
schools.” Additional savings could be realized by decreasing
the incidence of disease, preventing vaccine wastage,
facilitating costly vaccine recalls, and streamlining doctors'
office operations.
For
medical practitioners the CyberImmune's products provides
the ability to perform vaccine recommendations based on a vast
array of patient information and rules, which would not be
possible in a short amount of time without the aid of the
CyberImmune software. This will result in more accurate
selection of vaccines, thus increasing vaccine safety. This
software also prevents medical practitioners from having
to deal with the costs and hassles of server
installation/maintenance/administration, software
installation/upgrades, and data security.
Parents,
schools and daycare centers will be able to obtain a child’s
current immunization records by securely accessing the CyberImmune
Network through the child’s Healthcare Provider’s web site or
State Agencies. This means having immunization records that
are more accurate, readily accessible, and always up-to-date.
All data in the
CyberImmune Network will be on a secure server to
protect a patient’s private information and will only be
accessible for patients who register for secure online access.
The CyberImmune secure server will use several technology
methods including encryption, firewalls and timed log
outs, among others, to keep immunization records private and
confidential.
